How it works
- Upload 2 or more photos, then drag to reorder them or remove any you don't want — order runs top-left to bottom-right in the finished collage.
- Pick a layout (Grid works for any count; Big left, Big top, Columns, Rows, and Mosaic appear when your photo count matches), set the spacing between photos, and choose a preset output size or your own custom width and height.
- Hit Create, preview the result, then download as PNG, JPEG, or WebP — use the quality slider to trade file size for quality on JPEG/WebP.
Frequently asked questions
What's the maximum number of photos?
The Grid layout supports 2 to 12 photos. The other layouts — Big left, Big top, Columns, Rows, and Mosaic — are built for smaller, more deliberate arrangements (2 to 5 photos, depending on the layout) and only show up as options when your photo count matches.
What layout options are there?
Grid arranges any number of photos into an even grid. The rest are fixed compositions: Big left and Big top feature one large photo alongside smaller ones, Columns and Rows line photos up in a strip, and Mosaic is a 4-photo asymmetric layout. Only the layouts that fit your current photo count are shown.
Can I choose the output size?
Yes — pick a preset (square, Instagram post, Instagram story, Facebook post, Twitter/X post) or set a custom width and height anywhere from 200 to 4000px per side.
What file formats can I download?
PNG, JPEG, or WebP. PNG is lossless; JPEG and WebP use an adjustable quality slider so you can trade a bit of quality for a smaller file.
Will my photos be stretched or squeezed to fit?
No — each photo is cropped to completely fill its cell (the same idea as CSS's object-fit: cover), never stretched or distorted.
Can I control spacing and photo order?
Yes — drag photos in the list to reorder them, and choose None, Small, or Large spacing between them before creating the collage.
Your files are never uploaded. Gotool.xyz runs entirely as JavaScript in your browser. Your files are processed in memory and never touch a server — nothing to breach, nothing to clean up. Close the tab and it's like it never happened. The only thing we count is which tool ran (just the name, e.g. "merge") so we know what people find useful — never your file, its name, its size, or anything in it.
