FEATURED · MEET KIRA

A real timeline editor, not just a trimmer.

Kira is our full multi-lane video editor — drag clips into order, trim and split them, add picture-in-picture or full-screen cutaway lanes, and layer in captions and a music track, all on one direct-manipulation timeline, then export a single finished video.

  • Any number of overlay (picture-in-picture) and cutaway (full-screen swap) lanes, plus multi-track music
  • 11 transitions, color filters, and visual effects — all visible live as you scrub or play, not just in the export
  • Captions with entrance/exit animation, styling, and full undo/redo plus copy/paste
  • Runs 100% in your browser — your footage never leaves your device

Frequently asked questions

Is this really free?

Yes. Every tool here is free, with no sign-up and no watermarks.

Do I need to upload my files?

No. Everything runs in your browser tab — files are processed locally and never sent anywhere.

Why do video tools take longer than the other tools here?

They run on a real video engine (FFmpeg, compiled to run in the browser) that's downloaded once per visit, then does genuine video transcoding on your device — there's no shortcut around that being real CPU work, especially on longer clips.

What video formats are supported?

MP4, WebM, MOV, MKV, and AVI as input. Output format depends on the tool — GIF for Video to GIF, and MP4 for the others.

Does this work on mobile?

Yes, though longer or higher-resolution clips will run slower on a phone than a desktop — the actual video processing is real CPU work happening on your device either way.

What happens to my video after I'm done?

Nothing — since it was never uploaded anywhere, there's nothing stored on a server to delete. Closing the tab clears it from your browser's memory.

How it works

01

Choose a tool

Pick from the grid above — organize, convert, or whatever's next as we add more.

02

Drop your files

They load straight into this tab's memory — no upload happens.

03

Download the result

Gotool.xyz hands the finished file back to you. That's the whole job.

Your files are never uploaded. Gotool.xyz runs entirely as JavaScript in your browser. Your files are processed in memory and never touch a server — nothing to breach, nothing to clean up. Close the tab and it's like it never happened. The only thing we count is which tool ran (just the name, e.g. "merge") so we know what people find useful — never your file, its name, its size, or anything in it.
